Ospreys scored a try with two players latched on to the ball carrier. Impossible for a single defender to stop.  The two supporting players appeared to latch on before the defender tackled the ball carrier.  What are the rules on this?  If you tackle the supporting players I believe that is illegal as they are not in possession of the ball.  I think the Premiership are reffing it differently.

42 26 ospreys despite being second best for most of game. Weird match dragons are improving but their scrum a real weak link. Holmes and dyer should both be in wales squad this summer.  Awj looks to be worn out can’t see him making the lions 23 on his recent showings

In summing up our season we have to honestly admit that we have gone backwards pretty quickly. Both the Ospreys & Dragons have made progress - they are not contenders by any means but they going forward. Cardiff still flatter to deceive but Dai Young will make then a better team & further front 5 recruits will only speed that up.

Best Welsh region - very difficult to call but one things for sure it ain't us!!!!!

I agree both the O’s and Drags have made progress, albeit with the bar set pretty low.

Blues have marked time overall in my view.

We have declined, but I don’t really see much difference between us all overall. The Drags have to find a front 5 to go with a good 6-15, we have to get our best XV clearly sorted and by position, and then be able to pick them. O’s won’t get much better next term. Blues...I’ve no idea tbh.

We have the best squad of players . The other regions have huge gaps in their squads especially in their back up players. The ospreys seem to be able dig wins out when playing badly looking at that back line they fielded today that is semi pro level but they still got a bp win. the dragons seem to be able lose games when playing well if they can sort their scrum they can be a good team the blues can go from very bad to very good in same match let alone game to game as for us we just haven’t been at it this year have we? Hopefully new season new coach and a fresh start next season, another season like this will be very hard to take. We should be miles ahead of every region looking at the player pool each region has. Plenty of our back ups would be starters at the other regions. We need to find our idenity a cohesive game plan and sort our defence out. Plenty of work to do this summer dwayne

Are you posting on the correct site?  Just don't see what you're saying about our squad . Lots of our squad are either long term injured, concussed, young and inexperienced, getting on a bit or busy making travel arrangements to return to their homelands. 😵

We need a defence coach.
We need a couple of beefy ball carriers.
We need fewer long term injuries, and hope that some of those we have decide to call it a day so that they can be replaced.
We need to analyse and plan against different teams so that those selected for us turn up knowing what to expect and are prepared to exploit opposition weaknesses.
We need to select players more on desire and attitude and less on reputation.

Apart from that everything's already hunky-dory.

Can’t argue with any of that.

I was thinking the same. We have a bang average squad.

Conbeer has more pace than Steff but less trickery and experience. Both struggle in defence against big pacy attackers. The case against Steff looks stronger now because most of our other backs similarly lack pace and aren't happy tackling big pacy ball carriers when they have had space to accelerate. Other teams have defensive plans to cut down this space and make defence easier.

Its time to end this talk of us having the best squad. We simply don't. We are kidding ourselves. I cannot agree that the Ospreys backline was Premiership level. That is pretty unfair. For instance I would take on the evidence of the weekend Watkin over Foxy, Kieran Williams over Ioan & their young winger Cross over McNichol so what does that say about our backline?????

A squad member is only any use to us if he is available to play. Liam has been a total waste of money. Long term issues with concussion have hurt us badly and, of course, are unavoidable. Non selection of seemingly fit players is also pretty mystifying - Asquith, Conbeer, Ball, Wyn, etc. I understand the reasoning behind giving fringe players games during the Rainbow Cup but to suggest that many of our non starters would easily get selected at other regions is delusional.

For sure at 9 we have great depth but I cannot think of any other position where our non starters in our best 23 would walk into other regions top 23's. I can certainly think of it the other way round with the Dragons back row resources & Cardiff's midfield resources. Time for us to stop making false claims and be realistic. Dwayne has a huge job on his hands & will need our full support. Most I am sure agree with his appointment as a step forward.

We do have the best squad by the only objective measure which is who finished the league with the most points.

Be interesting to see if we can avoid being the bottom Region at the end of the Rainbow Cup.  Not looking too promising at the moment. 😋
