Depends how you break down the various Asian classifications for the purposes of the census. For example those who identify themselves as Indian or  British/Welsh Indian have the highest average per capita income within the Uk whilst the position is very different for those who classify themselves as Bangladeshi or British/Welsh Bangladeshi .

Bangladeshi are the people's we insultingly call Indian regarding their restaurants ...To have 99% of all restaurants should indicate that they have one of the highest annual income of all the different categories...which seems to negate your post ...but interestingly they mostly vote to the right , where the state should not intervene in an individuals profit making exercises ...This includes unemployment payments and pensions ....

I don't quite get the argument that appears ongoing. Does anyone really believe that this British government have treated asylum seekers fairly over the past 10 years - I do not think so. Have some - a very small minority - of asylum seekers been proven to be dangerous - for sure. Should we be wide awake and constantly attempting to control the very dangerous spread of far right sentiments - definitely. Surely most of us are in agreement on these statements.

Balance is key though as is language - I still maintain any comparison of modern day Britain to 1930's Germany is just lazy use of language at best and an overreaction to an atrocious government who have no basic idea of what the term levelling up means.

So BOJO has been re-selected as the Tory Party candidates for Uxbridge for the upcoming local elections.
He increased his majority to just over 7000 in 2019 following his election as prime minister.
Is this a master stroke by Sunak and co, there was talk that the Tories were going to put him up for election at a much safer seat.
Do the current party leaders/strategists believe that he could theoretically lose his seat and as such remove the likelihood of him staying around (within the party) and continuing to build a team of campaigners around him to push for his return as PM.
