Totally & utterly disgusting concept. Quite why Sunak would have allowed her to parade around Rwanda damaging the British international reputation. They most certainly have lost the plot. Think Anna Soubry sums it up quite well " he Govt banned the #BBC but took GBNews ?! When are people going to wake up & stand up to what this Govt is - ideologically driven, intolerant of dissent, terrified of scrutiny, incompetent & arrogant. And that’s for starters. Come the GE make sure you vote them out of office."

Ironic that both her parents in the 1960s who hopped on something to get to the UK didn't get the same treatment .

The truth is theyve failed spectacularly to control the situation because theyve under staffed the home office and immigration dept....Hence why the people arriving on boats has leapt from 300 a year to 45000 a year and net immigration is over 500,000 despite the anti immigrant rhetoric...Labour were in fact deporting 50,000 illegal immigrants a year. One wonders what the tories are in fact trying to achieve? Is it a double bluff? Or is it a clash of their 2 pet hates? Funding pubic services and dealing with immigration. They probably cant stomach the fact they have to fund the former to deal with the latter. 

It's classic scapegoatism in a shameless vote grab. I have nothing but contempt for this sort of politics. You're spot on Roy. Cons have underfunded so many parts of the public sector that the State is struggling to operate properly now. Then they go and blame everybody but themselves for their failure ... the EU, The Left, The Blob, Wokeists, Liberals, "Criminal Asylum Seekers" and the latest turn of phrase - "The New Elite." Fk me, it's utterly shameless and worse, it's dangerous. They're playing with fire and legitimising far right rhetoric. 

I read David TC Davies' comments about immigration, how he wants immigrants who are highly qualified. Has he noticed what happened to a whole load of well qualified Europeans who used to live in the UK these last 7 years? Has he noticed that in fact we have huge labour shortages in low-skill sectors too? Has he noticed that Farmers are selling up their farms because the labour shortages caused by the Brexit he and his party pursued have made their businesses unviable? Total t**t of a man.

This is the same David TC Davies who yesterday sat in the BBC  wales studio and defended the Tories stance that Wales isn’t entitled to a Penny of levelling up funding for railway infrastructure projects as allegedly the northern house rail project (even though it’s nowhere near Wales), will benefit the Welsh travelling community and as such is classed as an England, Wales project.
This on top of the fact that HS 2 was again classed as a England/Wales project, despite it stopping in Birmingham.
This Tory government treats the welsh public as second class citizens, just look at the Barnet formula, we get less capital per head than Scotland - and they want (ed) independence for England.

We all agree the torys have made a mess of this policy but  of curio what are lab/plaid migrartion policy? Skills based? Agreed numbers ? Any comments on housing the newly arrived migrants? How are they going to stop the boats? They seem to be very vague on details

Nit picking Oracle & you know it. How many people does it take to die attempting to cross the channel for us all to realise that stopping the boats and the human traffickers making their huge profits is fundamental to us getting on top of this issue.

Of course Braverman will never come up with a workable, humane solution but a decent home secretary would have worked this issue out many years ago.

I totally agree , but the point I was making is the fact that there are people in the boats ...by just saying boats I feel it removes the human side of the equation ...
We should be processing all claims and then reacting accordingly ..the only problem is that we have no way of returning a lot of people back to their country as we have burned  all our bridges...
Ironical if it's the right word but Braverman is now intending to send unattended children to Rwanda, which I think is abhorant , but for the 200 migrants being sent there we now in return have to accept 200 Rwandans back in return ...the selection of the people will be down Rwanda , so who knows what type of people they are ..and the tax payer is paying hundreds of millions of pounds ...disgusting on so many fronts
