I've spent the best part of a childhood, ripping it nto Disturbed as I'm not a fan of their music but they've released this rendition of Sound of Silence and it's best version I've heard the song played, and I completely love the Simon and Garfunkel version:

Oh, god not here as well This keeps cropping up everywhere I go. It's following me around like a smelly skid mark.

I hate this version with a passion. I grew up listenining to Slayer, Metallica, Pantera etc. I saw Disturbed in the 2001 Ozfest. I'm a huge metal fan .... but this is one of the worst cover versions I've ever heard. Two of my colleagues keep playing it and it makes me want to punch them.

Each to their own but I think it's fing awful!!!

Not a fan of covers, but this is ok for a Simon and Garfunkel one

Haha, maybe it's because when I first watched it, I thought it would be awful and it exceeded my expectations. Seems to be a marmite cover, know many people who love or hate it.

Probably over the top from me, but last time I reacted that badly to a song (Will Young's cover of Light my Fire) I got chucked out of the pub!

Anyway, if it's music videos we're doing, here's a classic Sabotage Live

Mixed for me. It's a song that's almost glued to S&G and The Graduate so it's tough to shake that off and assess it on merit.

Spot on. Although when I'm in the gym, one or tow of their early tracks (Voices and Sickness) sometimes sneak onto the playlist.

However this is some cover... is it better than S&G...i guess nobody will ever agree to that but i feel Disturbed have possibly captured it better. Starts quiet with an incredible build.

It is one hell of a cover.

It seems I may be the lone voice here. I don't like marmite either
