Has anyone seen tomorrow's front page yet? It's gone viral on facebook and twitter. Worth a look tomorrow. Here's the link to walesonline and the article it's self. The front page it's self is even worse. Whatever your views are on the Welsh language it seems like suicide for the Western Mail to describe bilingualism as a luxury we can't afford, when it's readership is already falling rapidly.

Nothing more than a low-rent gutter paper now that will exploit any sensitive or provocative issue to whip up 'debate'.
The irony here is that the Western Mail is propped up itself by taxpayers money and publically funded organisations who are all invested in a bilingual Wales and the Welsh Language Act.
A disgrace to the nation. Please stop buying it!

What ever people's views on the cost, for the national paper of Wales to basically say our national language isn't important is a bloody disgrace. They should be ashamed and have sunk to a new low.

They've done what they set out to do - generate debate. Regardless of its quality, it's the first WM front page in a long time that's got people talking. I bet they sold a few extra copies off the back of the furore too.
