Not an area with which I’m familiar.

Opened the wine last night and the three of us who shared it all thought it pretty good. 14.5% so a bit on the strong side, although it didn’t overwhelm on the tastebuds. The bottle had the deepest recess at the bottom I can recall. Apparently, the more the bottle bottom recesses, the more costly and better quality it is.

Thankyou young man for this indepth sampling.......lovely jubbly.

Tonight, we’re on a Remi Lamerat 2024 red called Partage (Sharing). Just started. Very fruity and very drinkable.

Interesting tale over Xmas. My daughter's partner - Hef the chef - brought us up a bottle of Argentinian Malbec. Nothing unusual about that but the story is good. A friend of his - Crymych lad I believe - now lives in Argentina - Patagonia in fact. HJ came home for Xmas & brought a pallet load of cases of this red wine from the region. P15 estate bottled Malbec 13.5%.

Yet to sample - summary will follow.

Delayed - the Partage was excellent. Light, fruity and 12.5%. Great way to have seen in the New Year along with another Chateau Grand Jour (Remi Lamerat) the 2020 Amphore 50:50 Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon - more body and depth went very well with the cheese.

Given the recent dive in form and results, we might be reaching for something more to drink than usual, to dull the pain, maybe to forget.

If you do find yourself in this position, please don’t recycle your empties until you’ve made a note of anything that stands out so you can tell us about it.

Wink Most for sale need a lot of restoration and feature on many a TV programme. Those that have been fully restored, updated and tastefully modernised command a huge price. LOLEmbarrassed
