Neither happy nor sad about this.

It's very difficult to make any calls about recruitment until we can see the entire squad for next season.

Let's hope Steff's promised good news includes 1 or 2 big locks and some real talent in midfield.

We're still still here!

Blade is a really good rugby player.

But I can understand why people may be underwhelmed.

Any player can get injured, and it's important to support them, particularly with head injuries.

But I think we should be targeting non internationals for our NWQ quota.

That said, I wish him all the best.

I thought Blade has said he is no longer available for internationals??

Nope, only hope that he is. He’s given nothing to actually say “I’m not available anymore”.

6??

Why
A couple of centres/ fast winger, a tight head, two locks and an open side is the minimum we need.
TH - Will Griff John, Samson Lee, Javan Sebastian, Harri O'Connor
LK - Sam Lousi, Morgan Jones, Lewis Rawlins, Jac Price, Josh Helps, Danny Drake + Blade
07 - James Davies, Josh Macleod, Dan Davis
CE - Johnny Williams, Steffan Hughes, Eddie James, Jon Davies, Tyler Morgan, Joe Roberts, Ioan Nicholas
FAST WG - Ryan Conbeer, Tom Rogers, Tomi Lewis

I think we're well stocked in those departments unless some leave.
Yes, I'd love a RG Snyman type player to sign for us but Morgan Jones has done enough to be starting and we need to develop Jac Price. Signing another Lock will delay our homegrown development.

It’s imperative we sign a top class NWQ lock. We aren’t a development side

And you have to account for injuries. We need to find a tough, big SH type.

Every side is a development side otherwise what's the point in having an academy. It's just how we do it that differs.

Injuries are accounted for, we can deal with at least 2 injuries per position in those positions.
Like I said, I'd love for a world class lock to come on board. I just don't see it as being a do or die signing at the moment, just my personal opinion.

Some of the squad may be a little inexperienced 3rd/4th choice but there isn't a position screaming out for a new starter that I can see.
