Good luck to Caleb - it's always a delight if our home-grown talent can make the step up. Time will tell... do you think he'll feature next season, off the bench at least? Or be kept back with whatever lower level rugby is possible, post-COVID (if we are there by then)?

He's signed a deal for the academy so doubt we'll see him

Think he is few years behind Morgan & Jac. Good luck young man - how wonderful it is to see 3 homegrown prospects in the 2nd row.

We’ve never been a country or region that produces a lot of second rows, so it’s always nice to see talented prospects in that position. Let’s hope that he continues to develop and we’ll hopefully start seeing him in the first team in a few years.

Indeed. I hope he can leap high in the lineout for us.
Hopefully that cliche will be used by many commentators in the coming years
We're still still here!

I can only hope that he marries a descendant of Mark Ella and they go for a double-barrelled surname.

solid player steff and good squad player. Personally i think having 12 players go yesterday i would have announced a number of retentions today to counter the loss of those players.
But maybe thats just my view on things

Very underwhelming announcement, yes it’s nice to see that Stef is being retained, but following on from yesterday’s mass exodus the retention of a good squad player is a very disappointing follow on.
We could really have done with some positive news from the board so sweeten the blow of losing 12 players.
I desperately hope that this is not the end of our recruitment for next season.

Hardly a mass exodus. With the greatest respect 70% of them were players we don’t want
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1

Well done Steff!

Dont think we are as cutthroat to announce cuts and transfers then to rub it in with a bunch of new signings. Might soften the blow for us fans but its not a good look.

Well done to him. He’s had plenty of criticism on here and will never be a world class player but is exactly the type of player we need here. Always available, has very few bad games and crucially is a leader when our internationals are away and the younger players need guidance.

Jake is obviously a real loss ( going to live with family) and disappointing re Uzair and Kennedy but the latter two were not guaranteed starters. We had a retirement and players like Dylan ( who sadly didn’t break through) and Tom ( who is constantly injured it seems and well down the list ) leaving for those reasons . The others came as no surprise. We had to trim down and glad it’s announced now. It’s not a panic or a player “slash “ . Let’s hope for a small number of key replacements now in coming weeks 🙏
