For next season im assuming, will Shings & Blade be out of contract? If we've got to trim down the squad I guess these are the type of signings we will have to make.

Blade has been really unlucky with injuries, so I'm afraid that if he is out of contract then he'll not be renewed. Aaron is such a stalwart and still our best lineout operator, I hope he's got another season or two left in him. Don't know Fry, but if he is a 'hard man' type 6 who does not cost the earth, could be a useful signing.

For quite a while I’ve felt Fry would be a great signing for us. Proper hard player, one of those opensides the oppo just hates.

Are we signing him as an openside or blindside? Either way unless we lose more than Blade and Lezana is this really a priority signing?

I don’t see how Blade can continue, for his own well being. He’s suffering multiple concussions a season, and 32 already. Fry would be a quality signing unlikely to break the bank.

Can't see Lezana staying on tbh, via injuries he's not really had a decent run but I don't think he's anything special either really

Lezana & Blade are precarious. Fry is Lezana type replacement & Luca will cover another back row vacancy. Have only ever seen Fry play at 7 a few times and, for me, he looks a better player than Basham who seems to get the plaudits.
