A big cheer for Tommy who won the FedEx championship yesterday. This guy is the epitome of never say die in sport. 30 top 5 finishes on the PGA tour without getting a win suggested he maybe he just didn't have that killer instinct to see it through.
Not Tommy he just gritted his teeth & kept going; always summing up his failures with a smile. His reception on the 1st tee which he shared with an American Patrick Cantlay yesterday suggests to me that Luke Donald has an ace in his team for the Ryder Cup next month in New York. Tommy & Rory both have huge followings among American golf supporters.
