Not having a go at all, simply stating he's not one of the signings i expected, we should be looking at a good experienced scrum half, pivotal position on the field. We need a really good 9 to make sure Stephen is on the front foot, not the back foot like he currently he is when he gets the ball off Martin Roberts. Scrum Halves are hugely important positions. We should be busting a gut to get back Dwayne back IMO.

I disagree sorry. What has Dwayne done in the last 3 years to warrant us spending a huge amount of money to buy him out of his contract at Sale. I say, wait a season - working with the young talent of Roberts Knoyle and L Williams - and then let Peel 'bust a gut' to come back to us.

Totally agree Multi.
Buying Peel out of his contract is a waste of money and better spent else where at present.
There is so much talk of being faithful to past players etc - Peel has not been on top of his game for some time. Just because he was great (understatement) for us during his time at Scarlets doesn't mean we should break the bank to get him back.

Well we all know what Dwayne's talent is like, Ask Robert Jones, He was in his Test Lions team for the upcoming tour. Thought Dwayne was currently out of contract at Sale anyway? He'd be my first choice 9 anyday. Martin Roberts is not good enough in my personal opinion.

Dwayne has a year left on his contract with Sale - I've asked Warren Gatland his opinion of Dwayne and he says not good enough. Second choice at Sale, can't get into the Welsh squad etc etc.
Dwayne's talent is something that a lot of people are forgetting about as he hasn't shown it for several seasons!

Dwayne's not doing anything special at the moment imo. Knoyle will offer us something different in terms of size and physicality, and not too expensive which would have been a huge consideration. Dwayne would be nice for free, but if we are spending big bucks we have bigger priorities elsewhere on the park.
