This sounds like a good move. We need a Forwards Coach who’s a lineout specialist now that Shingler is retiring. I’m pleased that he’s experienced and coming from a different rugby culture too. 

Hopefully we’ll be able to tap into his contacts to bring over a couple of undervalued big beasts from South Africa.

As much as I would like to see it happen , I'm concerned that with limited budgets we seem to be hoping Samson doesn't break down on us again ...Since being in his prime , he has only played a few games and more worringly...The rules in the scrum have changed ....changes in the engage ruined Adam Jones career ...I hope all if these factors have been catered for when deciding on his future

Still no news of the 2nd row recruitment. That will probably be the final piece in the jigsaw. Our stock of tight heads is looking light with Samson, Wainwright & O'Connor. Depends what progress is being made by the two boys who featured in the 20's squad this year.

Appears that we may be in talks with Fifita’s brother who has been released by Connacht.  If this is true and comes off I’d be happy - he’s a big bruising second row (bigger than anything we’ve had since Jake Ball).
