Comments of we can match their quality from 1 to 15, we are on a roll, Webb and Owen controlled the game superbly , our wings are better than theirs, the French won't know what is going to hit them, the French are overated, Webb will control and smother Dupont, their backs aren't that good,

I genuinely give up ...

I received an email from Wales Rugby News Wales online, with the Headline "Wales ready to stun France" although in fairness it didn't mention in what way. It was followed however by Wales head to France  looking to pull off stunning six nations shock.

Thibaud Flament.....better than both our locks combined...an athlete everywhere...this is the player Beard will never be...this is what we need.

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

It takes a hammering like that for the english to accept second best lol When Lomu destroyed them they were quite magnanimous in defeat but If its close like 1999 or 2015 rwc  they always find a scapegoat

France were outstanding and appear to be timing their run to a home World Cup to perfection.  If they can continue to play like that who would bet against them in the World Cup.
Ireland are currently the world number ones and have been outstanding, winning a test series in NZ in recent months, but their game is built on their defence and the force of their forwards to lay a platform for their backs (who are very efficient but not spectacular).
France yesterday showed that their forwards too can dominate and also play rugby, their defence under Edwards has vastly improved, whilst their attacking ability is second to none.

Although Genge seemed pretty charmless and one-eyed during the match, he and several others including Farrell seemed to genuinely smile when shaking hands after the match - they must have known they'd been beaten by a much better team on the day.

There's no sugar-coating a defeat like that - better to take it like a man, which many of them did.

A terrific performance by France - England completely overwhelmed.

Some points: a few years ago, I said that Dupont was the nearest thing to Gareth Edwards as a 9 I'd seen since - he's confirmed it - he's just as good as 'Sir'. Also, Penaud is one hell of a winger - again confirming an impression from a few years back.

Top tip for defence coaches: DO NOT leave a back row forward as last man out there to cover Penaud - Dombrandt looked like a carthorse as he tried to close down the TGV!

Any one of several French players could have been MOM - 15 Ramos was the official choice, but I'd have given it to Alldritt - what an engine that man has, and how he leads from the front!

I was a bit alarmed to hear that massive second row Flament, who picked a great line to run between two 'tacklers' to score, used to play at 10 at Loughborough uni. Monsters like that should not be allowed to play at 10!

France were awesome. They seemed to cross the gain line at will , fantastic running lines and support play from backs and forwards. Big athetic industrious forwards attacking from depth, lovely offloads and support play. Then backs who played heads up rugby, nothing premeditated. when they kicked it was always for a reason, it had great variety and accuracy too.....So many classic tries hard to pick the best , though their first 1 set the scene for the massacre to come. England are awful, even we should have beaten them....Best not laugh too hard as we be in for a similar drubbing next week

As amazing as France were individually , it kind of shows how basic skills, not giving away 20 penalties and using the correct tactics for the opposition you’re facing can get results. The variety in their kicking game and willingness to run the ball was sublime at times.

I honestly believe Ireland have done their usual and peaked 6months-1year too early for the World Cup, France got a wake up call and responded.

This.

It was refreshing wasn't it .

France are coming into form.....

Whose squad?

Wasn’t sure if you preferred to pick a 23 from outside the current group.
