I would be surprised if Wales or Tonga are involved in the latter stages of the World Cup. Also as far as I am aware there are no Autumn Internationals next season. And as the WRU are no longer contributing towards the salaries of Welsh Squad players, I struggle to see how they can enforce a “mandatory” rest period.

GPR - Rochester wrote: Indeed Wil. Mobility is now Gatland's mantra. When I watch some of the French top 14 teams their front row forwards are all over the ball come breakdown time. Physically of course that makes a lot of sense as they usually are 120kgs + guys with very low centres of gravity so possess the solidity to withstand the punishment. However here is the rub - can they get to those breakdowns quick enough & often enough to make it count.  Both Wyn & Samson will hopefully have good pre-seasons learning new skills. They both have loads left in the tank & won't go away easily.
