Cassiem better carrier and more dog than blade. Blade better handler and better in line out, cassiem less injury prone for me ii’d keep him and let blade go tbh

tend to agree with you RR1972, blade is a good footballer but we have other players who play similar roll. uzair has dog and get stuck in more physically and is a decent ball carrier. less injury prone. we really dont know how much rugby blade can play and if he gets another head injury he will be struggling.
uzair has played through bad injury with his shoulder as per 1st season and seems to be more durable. shame he is going

If only those decisions were quite so simple. Casseim's vision of his future may well have something to do with his move to France.

We aren't retaining players, because we haven't got the finances to do so

Uzair is a player who has fully embraced the region, the heritage & the supporters. I loved seeing him go to the stands & clap with the fans after matches, indeed it is a travesty that we may not see that sight again. He is someone who takes time to fully interact with fans on social media platforms, even early on a game day asking fans to send him pictures of their set up to watch the game.
He has given everything & grown into a cult hero after giving his all playing with a serious shoulder injury in his first season. I will be very sad to see him go.

I will be gutted to see him go but im pretty sure that as he isnt guaranteed game time and has not featured much this season, even if he was offered a contract i wouldnt blame him for turning it down if he did.
A player needs to be playing week in and week out and unfortunately he hasnt even featured on the bench for us most of the season. He has truly bought into the scarlet culture and fans love him but as has already been stated we are letting alot of players go so unfortunately not every player release is going to go down well with the fans |

We've seen poor selection all season,so why should it be a surprise that retention/release is poor?Thomson has under-performed,is injured a lot and is unavailable for other reasons too.Keeping him isn't a great idea,is it-regardless of other options??

Fully understand members expressing their concerns with regard to players/retention etc but we must all surely agree that the most important decisions the board can make for our immediate future are off the field - our coaching team have gone from mediocre during the pro 14 season to downright horrendous in one very important competition and one not so important.
Any other region would surely be showing their coaches the door after two straight 50 point hammerings.

You do realise that when you let people go from a fixed term contract, you have to pay them off right? It has cost Tottenham Hotspur £16m to get rid of their manager. At the moment we are not able to give every player a contract for financial reasons so to think we can afford to buy Glenn out of his contract is silly.

As a Spurs fan (I don’t half pick them I know), it’s money well spent.

I take your point Fscarlet but we are not privy to the details of his contract. They may include performance clauses etc. Looking at it from Delaney's point of view - he must be far from happy in his job when he sees how his team are playing. Again we do not understand the individual circumstances. Mulvihill left the Blues by mutual consent - I very much doubt that he was paid up his full contract. Lets not forget also that Glenn is from NZ & he may also have some family reasons pulling him home. All I hope is, regardless of financial constraints/contractual circumstances, that the board have made it crystal clear that performances are totally unacceptable & that certain individuals, whatever their contractual positions, will not be having their contracts renewed.

When Mooar left and said the ‘Scarlets were ready to explode’ i didn’t envisage it would be like this. Peel can’t get here soon enough in my view.

Won't matter who we have as a head coach if we don't improve defensively.
