Deian Gwynne to come in at 6. Captain of the U20s straight back into the Glaws team, big ball carrier, lineout, tackler. Stick him at six, Morgan at 7, wainright at 8, Botham on bench to cover (harsh on Botham as he’s been out best back row last 2 games).

not talking Italy… but soon.

I agree with most of the above.
At least I watched a whole Wales match , not done that for a  while  and that's because we were at very least , competitive and gave everything .
The problem  is how do you  turn  decent  performances into wins ???
The key surely,  is to offer more in attack creating  more questions  in defence than we asked tonight.
A balanced,  cohesive , and fluent  attacking game, isn't somthing  you can pull out of a hat, so plenty to,occupy Sherratt,  as attack coach.

Happy we are seeing progress , but,a lost at home to Italy and the gloom will settle  again like Stotch mist.Ouch

Teams like England and Ireland it’s a disaster if they lose with supporters up in arms. It’s a winning mentality. We’ve got to the stage when we congratulate the team when they lose.

Come on SA.you have to be realistic.
There is turmoil in the game in Wales created by the WRU.Cry
We lose heavily to France  and then to England . Ireland however thrash the English  at Twickenham,  a feat rarely  achieved.
Wales now travel to Ireland  to play them on their patch and we all were expecting  a hammering.
No, that does not materialise,  and at one point, deep in second half, it is
19-17. That's progress,  and in these dark  times we should be grateful for that instead of carping.Ouch

I saw enough yesterday to be encouraged.

We're missing good decisions and some of the execution wasn't right under pressure.

I think both of those improve as the coaching team matures and grows.

V surprised Hardy didn't come on at Williams's yellow card. And not finishing with Jarrod Evans on the pitch seems missing the point of having him there.

LRZ some good kicks and looked threatening with the ball. Growing into his role.

Our pack is unrecognisable from the start of season I don’t think any one of them had a bad game.
Thomas Francis makes a huge difference.
Dafydd Jenkins finally finding form that had him mentioned as a lion.
Dewi also had his best game for ages.
Carter looks a different player than when he has previously played.
The back row were immense overall Mann has really impressed me a smallish guy for a six but clearly has heart and really puts himself about.
Wainwright is a beast of player hope he fit for next week as I didn’t think Cracknell was up to it when he came on.
Tomos Williams really frustrating can be brilliant for Glos but rarely shows it on Welsh shirt.
Missed Sam at ten he gets backs going much better than Edwards.
We must find a way of getting Zammit into game more he is the  best strike runners we have put him on wing with Mee to 15.
Forward pass for their last try killed us led to yellow card which would not have stood. We were lucky with their disallowed try though.
The signs are good but still think we need to get rid of Sherratt and get backs coach in.
Italy will be tough and a great test to see how far we have come.
She asks why i still can't answer. I guess its in the blood.

I’ll put my hand up and say Tandy’s appointment did not inspire me and I made that point on forums. But what I’ve seen in the last two games is a coach galvanise his playing group. The plays drills moves etc won’t have changed much but he has certainly instilled a level of confidence and self belief in the team that wasn’t there previously, the fans who were/are disillusioned with the the whole WRU shambles now have something to cling two and follow. Hopefully the U20’s will go one step further tonight and with that player group there is the roots to go forward. Is Tandy the man to take them to the next step I don’t know but for now well done Mr Tandy I believe/hope you may have stopped the downward spiral.

Impressive from the forwards last night, they certainly matched Ireland and weren’t outmuscled. The backs for me aren’t firing at all, whenever we get the ball we don’t know what to do. Having a small 10 they need a bigger 12, I would move Eddie to 12 next week and put Hennesy or Watkin at 13. LRZ is wasted at full back, I’d swap him and Mee around and bring in Roger’s or Grady for Adams.

I don't see the point in starting Edwards in this current team. We don't get enough ball for him to do what he does well, so most the game he's getting exposed defensively.

Agree with you there Eddie to 12 he’s not a 13 just doesn’t have the pace but could Be a great 12
I still can not see anything in hawkins
Watkins may be the best bet next week up against Brex be a tough one , Hennessy no we’re near that level yet

Definitely Mee to 15, LRZ to wing, his defensive positioning at 15 is shakey. Hardy to start, Tomos bench.
Mann made 30 tackles!! Well done that....!
Missed a jackling 7 last night.
Tomos had get a yellow, but Ireland committed umpteen penalties in the red zone and no card. Overall the ref had a good game.
Noticed Eddie on the wing a fair bit, what a game he had. Grady for Adams v Italy.
Feeling a lot more positive than at the beginning of the 6N.
Gutsy performance.

Fixed

In the build up to Scotland v France, all 4 pundits - John Barclay, Benjamin Kayser, Martin Johnson & Sam Warburton - all said that 2 of the Irish tries should not have been awarded.

The forward pass for the last try and Tomos’s yellow and a pick and go try in the 2nd half, iirc, where Kelleher had latched onto the ball carrier try scorer and got ahead of him, preventing a tackle on the man in possession.

Thinking about the back line. Someone somewhere made the point that we should consider doing a France and playing the second playmaker at fullback rather than 12. I think I agree with this. The only problem is we don't have an obvious option. The closest are Whinnett and Beetham.

For me though, Steph Emmanuel will be the 12 in a season or two and he will be a playmaker at 12. Although he has an all round game. James or Hennessey at 13. The future team in WoL was pretty exciting tbh and there were a lot of options missing from it.
