According to WoL Wyn Jones has not been selected for the World Cup training squad, but Matthias, Roberts and Tom Rogers have.

11 Scarlets players...huge congrats to Kemsley and Joe, been in great form ( not always a criteria in Gatlands choices!).

Patch and Wyn overlooked. Also thought Conbeer would be in with a shout.

On the borader squad I'm not sure how Thomas Young misses out, or indeed how Cai Evans gets in.

The investment in starting Joe H in the AI's seems to have been wasteful.

Henry Thomas (capped by England a few years ago) becomes the first player to qualify under the dual eligiblity rule.

Scott is in the wider Scotland squad incidentally. Nan is from Paisley.

Good for Scott.

Cai Evans that’s quite a shock.

Its quite a laughable squad in all honesty. Hes going to choose the same squad as the 6N. The only reason ( in all honezty with another coach they would be rightly earned) the fri ge players are there is to keep the public of his back. Cuthbert, 1/2penny, liam, all chosen even without any game time. Conbeer deserves a place so does Hewitt. Cai Evans is there as a thank you to Ieuan in getti g his job back. When did he lazt play? Far too many old playets, and they will be the ones he will choose.
The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.

The original news brightened up my Bank Holiday and your most recent post adds to that. Nice spoof story. Should’ve kept quiet as another news source may well have run with it further.Wink

Or is it a double bluff to save being told off for breaking the news early? Big smile

Wyn has clearly fallen down the pecking order as has JMac. Well done to all Scarlets selected. Liam has played 180 minutes for Cardiff so we got the right end of that deal. Cai Evans & Rogers inclusion tells us how dire our talent is coming through at 15.

Henry Thomas' inclusion is an interesting one. He has done well when I have seen limited matches involving Montpellier but this latest rule of being able to play for another country after 3 years is suspect to say the least. Of course it was originally designed for the South Sea Islanders so perhaps they should have restricted it to moving from tier one to tiers below.

It's interesting how many players won't actually have a club come the Summer warm ups come along and the final 33 announced etc.

As the O's have yet to confirm ther departures we only know of guys like Halfpenny, Lydiate and one or two others without a club. In many ways beign part of the Wales squad actually diminishes their chances of gettign a club deal.

I suspect Moriarty has weighed that up in his call.

cai’s selection maybe something to do with his father’s position within the WRU, perhaps Gatland’s long term future (another drain on  the WRU purse) is dependent on Cai’s selection?😂

I think he may be the future at full back for Wales. In the mould of Halfpenny, positionally very good and an excellent kicking game. Am I the only one to rate him?
