Think CLJ might have been taken off with one eye on Edingburg next week

There was some discussion pre-tournament about the new format- one rather than two weeks off. The discussion was all about the senior teams and not about the U20s where the wear and tear of playing 3 consecutive weeks was likely to be greater- especially if the first two games were against England and France.

Against that background, the boys have done themselves and us proud. Whiffin in particular has played a blinder, freshening up the team last night, resting those who needed it. CLJ has had a big month- his first professional start and then three U20s games at 18.

I wonder if we’ll have CLJ for the Edinburgh game next week?

Yestyn Cook is a big boy, 22 months out injured with his knee. Does anyone know what the injury was.

Pretty certain I saw it happen when he made his U20 debut, what, 2 seasons ago? I can’t remember exactly but it was televised and wasn’t a Scarlers game. Came on and within a couple of minutes was screaming in agony IIRC. Think it was torn knee ligaments.
I believe it was when our U18s played at the Arms Park the season before last.

I'd expect he needs some time off. Mock A Levels soon?

It was a major injury, ACL, PCL & MCL, he’s done well to come back from it.
