Not surprised at no changes after the brave defensive performance against Ireland. Expect more of the same on Saturday, whether the defensive effort will be enough, we will find out.
Surprised a Murray on the bench, he seems to have lost form and confidence. I would have expected Grady or Rogers instead.
Sam is clearly not fit, lets hope Edwards has a better game this week.

I think he will be a weapon when the game breaks up a bit in the second half.

As much I would make different selections given the chance, I am in favour of keeping the exact same team, which is mostly the same team for the 4/5th game in a row now? because they should all know their combinations etc by this point.  There are also no excuses to not, as a minimum, put in the same effort that was there against Ireland and Scotland.

I'm glad its at home, they've got injury concerns, and with the best will in the word having just beaten England it's not mentally a high point to take on Wales next so I'm hoping for some complacency to be there for Italy and less fight than they had last week.  Also, if we can keep it to only 7 pens again, that could be huge.

Not surprised at keeping the same starting XV but the bench, no thank you.

Elias, Smith, Griffin, Beard, Cracknell, Hardy, J Evans, Murray.

Would still prefer F. Thomas, Reffell (not in the squad I know) and Grady to those highlighted as i think they offer far more against a physical Italian side.

What's going on?

I think Beard and Cracknell offer more physicality than other options. Beard really helps set pieces tick.over well.

The confusing bit is our backs. Tandy clearly doesn't rate Hardy or Evans. Both unused last week despite our half backs being knackered last week.

Murray and Evans are very similar (speed the game up) types. Grady offers something different.

Grady has had plenty of chances, done very little.

In my view this will be the most entertainment match of the tournament..the two team are specular squad with similar way to approach the game, brave defence and dangerous in 1 vs 1, maybe both need something more in structured attacking game, and both can have problem with tactical aerial kicking game..
I think Wales will win, but if Italy will have clear balls to play from set pieces, can score some tries..

From what I have seen Murray is struggling for form. I cant remember the last time he played well for Wales or Scarlets.
It happens, injuries, loss of confidence etc. I think he would have been better off trying to play himself back into form in Galway with the Scarlets.

The weird one is Josh not being released despite not being in the 23 for Italy, clearly he's a reserve but we'd have been better off with him in Galway rather than holding water bottles and tackle bags in Cardiff

You are right, Tom Rogers could have been released as well. Maybe the WRU are pouting after this week’s court case with the Scarlets?

15 minutes of the build up spent discussing Rhys Carres try. Really scraping the barrel now. It was hardly a length of the field interception.

fantastic first 50 minutes not sure why we stepped off the gas so much afterwards...But this was a vital win and a tidy performance. Hopefully we can go on a little run of wins now
