He’s been a solid, consistent and durable backup to Samson for years. A good value overseas signing.

I wonder if it will be on the golf course???
I gather he plays off a handicap of 2, and is sponsored by a major golf equipment manufacturer, but not sure which one.

They and Werner’s family are well-matched in that case.

An excellent servant and, by the sounds of it, a really top bloke too. Proved to be very valuable over the last five years or so. All the best in retirement Werner!

The guy is so humble. One of the overseas signings that’ll be remembered for sure. I’m sure he could get a job as a conditioning coach somewhere you don’t go for as long as he has without looking after yourself.

think we can all say hes been a pleasure to have at the scarlets, quality person and brought so much to us on and off the field. one of the best nwq players we have ever signed. durable, never injured, given 100% everytime on the pitch, good role model for the young players and generally a good all round guy.
will be missed i am sure on and off the field, golf courses in wales will miss him too!
good luck werner to you and your family
