the first team is better than the second, spider monkey. the roberts-JD partnership just is not working.

inddeed its not jd wasnt great but nice inside ball for norths try. maybe bench him for a bit  #
but we havent got much back up in the centre? maybe hook inside roberts outside
but gats always plays it the other way round which is a mystery. hook is a decent enough tackler and you can always switch them defensively.
so we end up with the doc as crash baller then hook in the wide channel running out of space. I dont get why he wont switch them??

I'd leave out all the Ospreys players. Then any player who has a bad game blame Gatland.

I agree,

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

Personally I'd go for:

Halfpenny, Shane, Hook, Roberts, George, Stevo, Tav, Ryan J, Warburton, Lydiate, AWJ, Bradley, Adam J, Bennett, Paul James
History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.

I  would start with Ryan Jones at lock with Alun Wyn.  I don't think Bradley Davies has carried on the good form of his first season yet, and being dropped to the bench may be the kick up the backside he needs.  This will enable Gatland to pick the young back row of Lydiate, Warburton and Faletau, and then switch Ryan to No 8 and bring Bradley on for the last 20 mins.  My team v SA:-

Hook, North, Roberts, Davies, Williams, Jones, Phillips
James, Owens, A Jones, R Jones, AW Jones, Lydiate, Faletau, Warburton
SUBS Knoyle, Priestland, Brew, Mitchell, Bennett, B Davies, J Turnbull

I really do think youre overlooking powells contribution yesterday. he was given 1 last chance and he grabbed it with both hands. stories are hes been immense in training too and it showed yesterday. the try itself he was involved twice with clever offload and great support angle. the guy played well under geech on the lions tour too. say what you like but powell energises the squad. when he finds form he not only runs fast and hard but he does have an offload game too. hes not as clever a player as ryan jones and does run away from support. but we do need a ball carrier. I think he outplayed toby in the warm ups so I put him ahead. whilst ryan is imho a better player. with our back row we need a ball carrying 8 as the 6 doesnt carry much. so im tempted to give him the nod with ryan benching to cover back row and second row. I would also have turnbull benching as hecan cover back row too and we may need that in such a physical group
