Has anyone seen the WRU Members Club subscriptions, I have a vague recollection that the Scarlets did something similar years ago, I know that Munster did and at the time it was something like 50 Euro for the year but that gave you that years jersey too

Could be a money spinner for the club but more importantly a huge data capture exercise for future marketing and if we replicate the WRU version of free membership for children with the below benefits then that gives us a chance to inspire the next generation

  • Personalised Membership Card
  • 15% off on Gilbert equipment and products
  • 10% off on Rhino equipment and products
  • Access to exclusive competitions for signed merchandise and once-in-a-lifetime experiences
  • Physical Birthday Card
  • Digital Christmas e-card
  • Welsh Rugby branded Height Chart
  • Certificate as a WRU Member

A collaboration between our kit provider and Scimitar Ltd to see our age grade (guys an gals) teams to play in majority recycled material rugby kits, with an youth range to match in the shop, would be interesting...

Rugby is way behind other sports on sustainability initiatives.

The Merchandise production needs to be linked to marketing and preferably inovative in the moment marketing.

At the moment red beanie hats are a growing world wide theme, oringally from WW2 Norway as a sign of defiance against Nazi oppression. It is has now been reinvigorated by the events in Minesota. against ICE and Trump.  Whilst no way belittling the efforts of the past, a new slogan "Fight Oppression, wear red" would be catchy and give a subtle dig at the WRU striking a cord with rugby fans. There could be red with black, red with blue and red black and amber for the other 3 regions.

Similarly a protest / tribute  shirt for potentially the last Scarlets v Ospreys game where we play in red with black and white and Ospreys play with a red stripe. Not only a collectable item but something to show some unity. I would keep the stripes on the Scarlet shirt for 2026/2027.

So many options on using the Scarlet colour and known characters to make catchy T-shirts - A picture of Santa with "Scarlets fans come more than once year" Or Captain Scarlet - indestuctable. A picture of Hell Boy and cross off the Hell and write Cubby or "Finnau can still get you!", "Get your retaliation in first" or "Get your tackles in early - even if its late!"

Each year do a new Remembrance shirt and give the procedes to local veterans charities.

Make dog coats and bandanas "I love Dogs and the Scarlets"

Popped into the shop earlier after work as they have a sale on.

Picked up the home and European jerseys combined with season ticket holder discount for less than the cost of the O’s jersey 😎 value for money from VX3 there.

Also grabbed a beanie that I hadn’t seen there before, lovely quality. Think I’ve spent more there this year than the past few combined 😅

Would still like some Scarlets pyjamas though…

My partner bought me the "retro" style jersey as well. Left there with three tops overall. Spoiled for choice.

What a difference compared to quite a few years previous!

Well done VX3 and those who brought them to the club.

slightly off subject. was in the shop yesterday and got to say its stocked up very well fair dues to vx3. had loads of sizes and items there. theres a sale on a lot of the items at the moment of 40% which is great but if you got season ticket you get extra again.
bought the cotton long sleeve scarlets jersey and it was only £31. cannot fault it especially as the quality is good (much better than our previous suppliers).

Once a Scarlet, always a Scarlet!
