Understood!

Oh, haha, gotcha.

Actually, to be honest, I hate Irish men's rugby. But I thought the Irish WOMEN, massive underdogs, worked so hard for it, to come unstuck right at the end was tough for them.

Back to regular programming now they're out though ;)

GPR  Rochester is right.   As a competitive competition,  unfortunately the Womens  World Cup is a non event. We wait  for the SF in anticipation of real quality and evenly matched opponents
In fairness  to today's  Fr v lrl game it was closer than anticipated.
Unfortunately however , it was closer,  because of the mediocrity on offer.
This is probably the worst I have seen the French playing for some time, apart from one or two moments if inspiration .
Ireland , too their credit, have massively improved.  Just three years ago I witnessed a 40 point thrashing by Wales in Cardiff.  How the tables have turned.  They have a world class player in Wafer, but in truth are a limited side,  and are prone to over-play through the 10.
Neither  Ireland or the now SF opponents France uts  a snowballs chance in hell of beating England.
Scotland  were blown away today, and if the conditions hadn't  prevailed, the distance  could  have been greater.

Yesterday we saw a spirited  SA, dominate the early  exchanges with real physicality.  It didn't  last as NZ  fitness, and all round excellence told in the end.The all Blacks however look vulnerable  at times, conceding penalties abd making mistakes .
Their  SF with Canada, should  prove intresting .

Finally,  despite  not being a " competitive tournament ", its still  be an intresting one. Quite a few teams have improved  remarkably,  and that's a great thing. To play in a tournament  like this is dream for many girls and a lifetime achievement.  Sides like Fiji have impressed with next to no financial  backing, and  South  Africa are making  huge strides.
Abdy Warhol once famously said  " Everyone has 15 mins of fame", and at this WC,   we must celebrate  that ethos, whatever your level.

We have waited for a truly competitive  quality gamenin this WC  and we got one  tonight.
Canada were magnificent,  and in Sophie De Goode, what a leader, what a player.
I had watched NZ several  times prior to this game,  and while their fluency and athletisism  is to be admired,  I picked up on the unforced errors and set piece inconsistencies.  To their credit they fought back magnificently in the SH, but there  was too much to do by then. They have also unearthed  a rising star in Braxton Sorenson- Mcgee, just 18 yrs old.

Well done Canada, you deserve  a place in the final, probably against England

Enjoyed that. Florence Symonds ( ( Canada 13) was immense. Mastered the outside channels with and without the ball.

Not a huge fan of Women's rugby, even though I've watched a few games this tournament, but tonight's game is the best I've watched for a long time. Played at pace and plenty of flair. I hope a lot of men's coaches were watching that. I'm not sure but I don't think neither of the scrum halves looked up from a ruck and put in aimless kicks, so that the other team could run or kick it back at them and start a little game of ping pong . Both scrum halves looked to get their backs going with pace.

Fantastic game & a brilliant ad for Women's rugby. Skills, pace & intelligent rugby. The Canadian pack played like a true collective & in their 9 Pelletier had a match winner. Continually sniping, offloading & cajoling her pack forward.

Canada also have match winners in the back 3 & as Wil pointed out their 13 Symonds shut down the outside channel to great effect. A huge team performance. A shout out to their coach who has a proper team on his hands.

Every neutral will be shouting fro Canada next weekend.

Unfortunately Symonds went down with what looked like a serious knee issue in the very last tackle she made when the clock went red. Hope she's ok, but it didn't look good.

Canada's journey is a great story ... it won't happen but it would be magical to see them go on and win it.

Also saw their No 6 who tackled everything that moved all game pull up near the end. Lets hope they haven't played their final all ready.

Tremendous game. I love Canada's style of play and commitment. That guy was so physical, it was a great advert for what the women's game can be.

Really hope Canada's injuries aren't too bad... need them at full strength for (likely) England!

I don't  anticipate  France being as poor as they were against Ireland.
If that is the case they will be annihilated...totally.
Last years final 6N game Fr v Eng was incredible,  43-42, so let's hope for a repeat.
We need more incredible games of real class like last night, , very important to continue  to sell the womens game to the general  public.
In fairness  games have been well supported,  with several recent  sell outs.

As several above  have mentioned ,  so much to admire about Canada.
Compare their financial backing compared to England ( or even Wales).
The worry  of course is how much have they left in the tank?
Have they played  their final( metaphorically speaking).?
I sincerely  hope  not and have my flag adorned with the maple leaf out ready for next week Thumbs Up

What a terrible game. Errors galore. I fancy Canada to beat either of these.
