Bryan Ferry
In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

"All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us"

Hi - first post here. I think in order to answer that you first need to establish what is meant by Rock'n'Roll. Traditionally I see it as music of the 1950's but the term seems to have been pilferred by Heavy Metal fans etc.
If you are looking for the King - take a listen to Big Joe Turner - genius.

I really have an irrational dislike of Bryan Ferry. Maybe it is becsuse of his sons or maybe because of his awful version of a hard rain's a gonna fall

Very hard to choose.

It's always been USA and UK who produce the best music that's a fact.
You have Rolling Stones, Beatles, Queen, Oasis to name a few. While in America you had Elvis, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen ect...
The king of pop is MJ no doubt.
The king of Rock would have to be the king (Elvis).
The best showman has got to be Freddie Mercury (just watch Live Aid 85).
To end in my opinion the greatest rock artist has got to be Springsteen, the guys a machine. Aged 63 and playing for 3 to 4 hours while the youngsters last about 90 minutes.
And We Were Singing...

I would say it's either Demis Roussos or Cronos from Venom.
I sometimes suspect these two may be the same person, just like Michael and LaToya Jackson were before they faked their own deaths and went to live on a pacific island with Lorc Lucan, Princess Diana and Robert Maxwell.
