  3. Facilities and fan experience - we smash it
  4. Potential for corporate sponsorship and hospitality - we smash it
  5. Long term committed backers - we win, I'd say, given Y11's love of a merger or move to Cardiff and their CEO saying it was not viable in St Helens!!
  6. UK based directors, bank accounts and company HQ - we win
  7. Engagement with the community - if bums on seats is a metric, we win
  8. Geographical location and access for future customers - Tricky but St Helens probably edges it.
If I had to bet £50 on the outcome it wouldn't be on the Os
Agree with most of above but not No.8
I live near Cardiff. I would be parked and walking to Y Parc at the time that I would be still stuck in a traffic jam a few miles from St Helens.. Where to park down there would be another added problem. I would think that most travellers from the east would agree. Ironically, that catchment would include a lot of current Osprey fans.
the stadium hilds 6500 how much of s traffuc jam would  that cause?  games are played on fri nights or sat pm not rush hour, traffc and parking wont be an issue  tnh

It's not the rugby which causes the traffic jams. Have you ever done that journey on a Friday night from Britton Ferry down to Swansea , or more to the point onwards towards Mumbles?  From Britton Ferry onwards to Llanelli is fairly clear.  Re, parking: where would that be?

It's a thinking man's game

They will either shut down or sell up. You'd think any sale would have to happen before the tender. If it's selling to an unknown then there's a downside based on lack of track record. If it's to Rob Davies, that's more problematic but he doesn't have the financial clout and he's already sold up once before (y11 own about 75%?)

Before we get too negative, they're still playing out of a stadium that makes Rodney Parade look modern next season in a curious location. Send the WRU in there to visit at rush hour during term time!

If all else fails it will occur to SCC that selling the Vetch and building on it just around the corner in a far worse area made some people a boat load of.cash.
Same could be said about Stradey

Believe me I live a mile away 6500 in St Helens will cause chaos traffic wise.
There is no on-street parking availability the Rec is a park and ride but access and egress is restricted via diversions.Any significant crowds will cause significant issues as the traffic flow is at present.

I agree, I live in Swansea also, and the traffic by Fabian way on a Friday is bonkers as it is. Mumbles and Arena traffic on a Saturday doesn’t help either.
